CIMA comprises a core team of 47 researchers whose activities are structured around 2 Research Areas (Ocean and coastal dynamics; Environmental systems and resources) working together to achieve the following objectives:

1 - Understanding the dynamics of oceans (from the coast to the open ocean)

2 - Developing sustainable resource exploitation

3 - Assessing and mitigating global changes and risks

4 - Capitalizing knowledge towards a sustainable and resilient society
