(Campus of Gambelas), located in Faro (South Portugal.)

Field work activities will take place at the 
natural park, a beautiful lagoon at the doorstep of the University.

The Algarve region is famous for its wonderful climate, amazing coastline and beautiful sandy beaches.

Faro has an international airport with a vast net of connections to different European cities (many of which through low-cost flight services).

The University is located 5 km from Faro city centre and is well connected by buses.  

Fees

The cost of the Summer Course program is 350€ per participant. This fee includes theoretical lectures about the dynamics of semi-enclosed basins and hands-on training regarding data collection and processing for hydrodynamic and sediment transport studies in nearshore areas. 

The course will  be provided by a team of international experts, from Monday to Friday between July 1 and 12 (the week-end of July 6-7 will be free of activities).

The participants will have to cover their travel, accomodation and food expenses. No scholarship is available. University restaurants will be open during the Course.  
 
The application deadline is April 7. The selected candidates will be informed about their admission no later than April 15. 

There are many options available in Faro for accommodation, including a youth hostel (Pousada da Juventude) and many other hostels and hotels, airB&Bs, etc. After selection, the participants will be put in contact​ for those interested in group booking.
