André is an Environmental Engineer doctorate in physical oceanography. He specialized on coastal processes, focusing on nearshore hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and bathymetric change on time scales of hours to years. Today his research focus is on marine renewable energies and on sustainable islands, coordinating “Culatra 2030 – Sustainable Energy Community”, one of the six pilot cases supported by the EU Commission though the Clean Island Secretariat.
