Lecturing since 1996 at the University of Algarve, he has held various management roles, including Director of the Department of Civil Engineering, Deputy Director of the Instituto Superior de Engenharia, and representative of Professors on the General Council of the University. He has worked as a consultant in his area of expertise. He has published more than 100 scientific works, including articles in international journals and communications at national and international conferences.
