InnovAzul

CIMA in Cadiz, represented by Professor Flávio Martins on the First International meeting InnovAzul, focused on innovation for the sea-related economic sectors in the Iberian Peninsula:

Fisheries and Aquaculture, Manufacturing, Ports and Port Logistics, Shipbuilding and Renewable Marine Energy, Marine Tourism and Marine Bioproducts. It was a specific area for entrepreneurs in the areas of the Blue Economy. This initiative came from the Board of Directors of the CEI · MAR Foundation and the event has supported by His Majesty the King of Spain, Don Felipe VI, who holds the presidency of the Commission of Honor, as well as the President of the Junta de Andalucia, which is Vice-Chairman of the Board. The event is attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Portuguese Republic, Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Spain, Secretariat of Knowledge, Research and University, Secretariat of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development and Secretariat of Economy, Finance and Public Administration of the Junta de Andalucia, Council of Rectors of Spanish Universities and almost a hundred public and private entities of the marine, maritime and naval areas. The event had spaces for bilateral meetings with electronic agenda through the Innovazul portal, exhibition area, networking area and an event program with around a hundred participants divided into lectures, round tables and other formats addressing the main themes Innovation and its financing in the sectors related to the Blue Economy.
