Workshop on Climate Data Operators (CDO)

Hands-on practical workshop on the use of the software: Climate Date Operators (CDO).

From July 22 to July 24, between 14h and 17h, at Campus Gambelas, building 8, room 2.11.
The workshop is free but requires registration and has a maximum of 15 attendees.

The Climate Data Operators (CDO, developed by MPImet and DKRZ) software is a collection of many operators for standard processing of climate and met-ocean data. The operators include statistical and arithmetic functions, data selection and subsampling tools, and spatial interpolation. We will advance with examples in different applications of CDO to climate and met-ocean data.
As the working environment will be Linux, we will give basic notions of Linux shell commands.
Part of the workshop will be devoted to introduce Ncview and Ferret for visualization of results.
