Compilation of benthic foraminiferal data from the northern Gulf of Cadiz continental shelf
Benthic foraminiferal data were obtained from surface sediment samples and sediment cores collected on the eastern northern Gulf of Cadiz shelf (see map). There is available information about living, dead and fossil benthic foraminiferal assemblages, namely: absolute and relative abundances; diversity indexes; relative abundances of most abundant (>5%) species and photographs of documented species (see examples) obtained using a scanning electron microscope (in grey) and with a camera attached to the microscope (in pink, living specimens stained).
