On the 29th and 30th of June, @CIMA researchers Flavio Martins and Juan L Garzon attended the #THETIDA's official Kick-off Meeting in Athens. The objective of this #HORIZONEUROPE 2022 project is to improve the way in which coastal and submersed cultural heritage (C&S-CH) sites are managed to better safeguard cultural heritage against the current threats and the effects of climate change. CIMA is leading Work Package 4 in this project, aiming at creating coastal ocean models to evaluate the impact of environmental variables on C&S-CH. Additionally the wreck of the US bomber B-24, located offshore of Praia de Faro will be used as one of the study sites.
